At the Hidden Garden Preschool, we believe that early childhood is the most important time in a child’s life. In this fast-paced urban city, our youngest children need an haven where the wonder of childhood is protected. Our garden setting is the perfect setting to learn and grow - filled with flowers, trees, butterflies, and a nature playground. We learn through storytelling and puppetry, circle group songs and movement, gardening and cooking, seasonal crafts and celebrations, and plenty of imaginative play. This is a place where the magic of childhood is nurtured and celebrated.

Overview
We follow a Waldorf inspired approach to early childhood education. Our program is guided by the seasons and filled with engaging nature-based crafts, lessons, and activities designed to help each child to grow, learn, and thrive. Click the link below to learn more about our program.
The preschool hours are 8:30am - 2:00pm Monday through Friday, with aftercare available until 6:00pm. Ages 18 months - 5. I offer full-time or part-time options. This is a small school, where each child is able to receive individual care and lots of love while here. The program runs from September through June with options for summer camp in July and August. We observe most major holidays and take two weeks off for winter break and one week off in spring.

About Me
My name is Stephanie Becker, and I have been a teacher for over ten years, primarily teaching in the elementary through middle school grades at Ocean Charter School, a local Waldorf school. After my daughter was born, I purchased a new home in Westchester, Los Angeles in the perfect setting to raise my family. I have always loved caring for children as a teacher, so I eagerly looked forward to opening my home to new children to begin this chapter as an early childhood educator. In addition to holding a Masters in Education and California teaching credential, I am also CPR and First Aid certified. We are a fully licensed child care facility.
